From “me“ to “you“, exhibition stand for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, 2012

After many years of our mutual cooperation, this exhibition on the drupa in 2012 marked a change of perspective for Heidelberger Druckmaschinen. They turned from their position as the world’s biggest German precision mechanical engineering company towards their clients. With an unmistakable message: Your printing job is our success.

As a consequence, we build a large trade fair stand solely out of thousands of client’s printing press plates, attached to each other like a giant metal curtain. As the big picture the press plate skin made visible for everyone that the brand actually consists of – printing jobs.

As a side effect, the intelligent and economical use of materials led to the cheapest exhibition stand ever built. In fact, the disassembled stand has a volume of one cubic meter. And can in fact travel in a suitcase.

Many people are standing at the red booth of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen. Two walls of old printing plates form a corridor on the exhibition stand.    Large letters hang above the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen booth at drupa 2012. Three men sit on a red bench in front of a red wall of old printing plates and take a break. Large silver letters hang from the ceiling.
